Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani has been appointed to AccorHotels’ Board of Directors.
Following the recent resignation from AccorHotel’s Board of Directors of Ali Bouzarif, the board has accepted the recommendation of the Appointments and Compensation Committee, co-opting Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani as a Director.
Bouzarif is reported to have left the board in order to pursue other professional horizons.
Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani, whose appointment was proposed by Qatar Investment Authority, is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Katara Hospitality, which holds a little over 10% of AccorHotels’ stock.
The Sheikh has also managed the Fuel and Finance sections at Qatar Airways and has been the Chairman of Qatar National Hotels Company since December 2003.
He serves as the Chairman of Dhofar Tourism Company and Sultanate of Oman. Mr. Bin Jabor Al Thani serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Sheikh Jassim Bin Jabor Charitable Foundation.
He serves as a Board Member of Qatari Diar and Dhofar Tourism Company.
The Al Thani Princely family has been the sovereign family in Qatar for the past 150 years.
