When you hear the term ‘kitchen garden‘ – what image pops into your mind?

Is it a food forest filled with an abundance of interconnected and interdependent layers of edible species that mimic the patterns found in the local environment… roots, ground covers, herbs and vegetables, small shrubs, trees, tall trees, creepers, pond plants?

A polycultural approach is what makes permaculture gardens so productive, resilient, regenerative and robust.

Nature tends toward complexity. Creating polycultures is working with nature’s tendencies. It actually takes much more effort to try to keep things simpler.

The question: How many ways can you add more complexity to your polycultural garden?
